And I know they can turn out well, I know a couple who are married and they met online in a gaming forum xD

All my internet relationships ended badly, I mean real bad so I can't really say I like them. I didn't even want internet relationships but my RL friends kept inviting random girls off the internet to talk to me on MSN, IMVU and whatever else they could find me at.

WHY did they end badly though?
You have to be suited to the other person just like irl ._.

Subject is too touchy for my tastes. All I can say is BE CAREFUL! One of my best efriends got hurt and left KHV. It was sad...

Well, it all depends really.

Sometimes they work, something they don't. The same with relationships offline.

I do think that people need to be more careful when it comes to online relationships, and I do think they are tougher than real life relationships because you can't physically be with the person, but if both people are careful and both of them want to make it work then it can work.

My aunt and uncle met online and they have been together for a long time now and married for nearly 10 years. Another of my aunts recently got engaged to a man she met online a few years ago.

Basically to sum up, online relationships, like any relationship, can work as much as they can fail. It depends on the people involved.

Anyway, I obviously think they can work, since I'm in one with the smexiest girl on the forum. As long as it's handled well, they can work incredibly well. If there's chemistry and love, I don't see why not.

@ Catch the rain - Your last sentence got it in one. So many people think internet relationships are stupid, but cant give a valid reason for thinking so. "You dont know who the other person is"- well you cant really tell who anyone truly is irl either ._.
And they approve of friendships online...isnt this just a step further?
